egin k – The Problem of Nothingness (Part 1) (0 plays)

More forgotten songs from an old project.

“A concept EP comprised of three improvised songs. These songs were created and recorded on a particularly sunny and lonely day which was the first of March, 2010. These songs may at time sound cluttered, or perhaps even sloppy, but it did not feel right to re-record anything. The sound reflects the emotions felt at the exact time the notes were played, and changing them would in turn be lying to myself. This whole winter has been quite the strange one for me, and I hope that with the coming summer my luck will turn up and I will be able to shake this shadow that has been haunting me off my back. All songs are recorded with one guitar, a loop pedal, midi drums played on a mac keyboard, and my heart. I hope you can enjoy it.” - bio written in 2010

EP and individual song titles from Jean Paul Sartre’s “Being and Nothingness”

egin k – Chapter I (With Love from Thessaloniki) (0 plays)

Hey guys. Just uploading some forgotten/old tunes.

“A concept EP written and recorded in the span of a week in August 2009. The EP follows the story of a mariner from Thessaloniki as he moves to America where he discovers a life of sin and loss. The EP is mostly improvisational. The works are also acoustic and recorded with one computer microphone (all excluding title track). This is my first attempt at an acoustic “folk” project. I hope you enjoy it.” - bio written in 2009.

Available with a download of this free digital album is a pdf document containing a narrative accompaniment to The Lone Mariner Dies at Sea.

Ruzan Orkestar’s (old band) farewell show footage.

My friend Josh’s amazing project Our Brother The Native and 2 little new tracks. Just mind-blowingly beautiful stuff. Michigan needs to stop hogging all the talent these days.

I remember watching this video on repeat as a teenager in 2006.
Hard to believe that was 6 years ago, and this video is still around.

Crushing

This Will Destroy You - Little Smoke

This show was pretty much the culmination of my existence in music.
Had been waiting so long for this chance. I would have never thought, even when I was getting my GY!BE tattoo, that they would ever get back together, let alone play a show.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Gathering Storm
